Lee Freedman is set to return to Australia where he is set to set up base at a new Gold Coast training facility. The Hall of Fame trainer has been in Singapore for the last three years and will look to make an immediate impact as he returns to Australia. With the attraction of night racing coming to the Gold Coast turf club in 2022, there’s plenty to see why the legend is setting up base in the Sunshine state.

Damien Lane is racing in fine form, the superstar jockey has a book of eight rides on Saturday at Caulfield and if he can manage to boot one of them home he will create a remarkable piece of history in doing so. At the moment Lane is sitting on 14 wins in metropolitan meetings during the month of December and it is tied with Craig Williams’ effort in July of 2016 for the most winners in metropolitan meetings for a month. If Lane gets his 15th winner of the month he will most likely have more winners for the month than plenty of punters around the country in the process!
