Godolphin runner Fake is a Horse Betting favourite and we are expecting it to win on Saturday. The horse cruised to victory on debut before running into a very good runner in the form of Ollivander on December 16.

In a field with not much in the way of great form Fake should be winning this one easily.

Race 1 tip: Fake to win ($3.50 at Ladbrokes)

Race 2 – Benchmark 64 (1800m)

Weir’s topweight Red Choux’s is a horse that has plenty of ability. Outside of a terrible last-placed finish on September 6, the horse has not missed a placing, and has recorded two wins since that failure.

The four-year-old is a progressive type which has more than enough ability to rise up the ratings.

Race 2 tip: Red Choux’s to win ($4.60 at Crownbet)

Race 3 – Benchmark 84 (1400m)

Tasmanian powerhouse Life On The Wire made a successful Australian mainland debut at Sandown, and we’re expecting it to go on with the job from there.

A win on Saturday would be the horse’s fourth-straight success and we are expecting it to do just that.

Race 3 tip: Life On The Wire to win ($2.30 at Ladbrokes)

Race 4 – Benchmark 70 (1300m)

Mawzoona is a great runner that stands out to us among a field of in-form horses. A win on Saturday would see the galloper claim its third-straight race and winning back-to-back events as a short-priced favourite there is no reason to doubt the Fastnet Rock filly now.

Race 4 tip: Mawzoona to win ($4.60 at William Hill)

Race 5 – Benchmark 70 (1000m)

The aptly named Dam Ready is peaking second-up, where it has previously won in the past. The Hayes, Hayes and Daberning runner was in the hunt at Werribee last time out, and the slight drop back in trip should help given it has won once over this journey.

Proud Wolf has finished within half a length of the winner in its last two races and is looking to go one better here.

In a competitive race the consistent form is what drew us to the Lee and Shannon hope runner, which has been performing towards its peak in the last month.

Race 6 tip: Proud Wolf to win ($11 at CrownBet)

Race 7 – Benchmark 78 (1600m)

Tenappy Ladies has won twice from three races this preparation and after winning at benchmark 70 level last time out, the slight step up in grade shouldn’t be a problem. The four-year-old is a ratings riser and will be hard to hold out.

Race 7 tip: Tenappy Ladies to win ($4.80 at Ladbrokes)

Race 8 – Benchmark 70 (1000m)

It was a total forgive run last time out for Club Tropicana, which probably shouldn’t have run after an issue at the barriers. Before that the horse was in stellar form, winning two straight races. Take advantage of the generous odds that are on offer here before it firms in.

Race 8 tip: Club Tropicana to win ($6 at Neds)

Race 9 – Benchmark 70 (1400m)

In a tricky event to close the card the in-form Simply Splashing looms as a winning hope. The horse has made consistent headway every start this preparation, culminating in a Class 1 win at Warrnambool on December 12.

Simply Splashing will get every opportunity to do what it likes from barrier two, and the savvy Brad Rawiller on board is another tick.

Race 9 tip: Simply Splashing to win ($15 at Ladbrokes)
