Quaddie punters have been hitting big this season and as spring warms up the pools will only get bigger and better, which means there is no better time to be filling out those quaddie bet slips.

Leg 1 – Adroit R78 Handicap (1300m)

Kalidaz is a quality mare for Greg Eurell which makes its own luck in front. The five-year-old won last time out at Sale with Damien Oliver in the saddle and he will again take the ride. It has won second up from two starts and it placed in its only run on this track. Drawing barrier five will allow it to roll forward and it should be tough to beat from there.

Wutai Mountain capitalised on the wet tracks throughout the winter and it should be able to handle the rise in grade here. The Chris Waller-trained mare is now a winner of two from 10 with both wins coming on slow tracks and with rain falling throughout the week, conditions should be ideal. Drawn wide, but that shouldn’t worry it.

Whirlpool finished second in the Adelaide Guineas two starts back before running an unlucky sixth at Sandown last start. The talented four-year-old has won only one race, but looks to have above average ability and it was nominated for a much harder race last Saturday. Consider here and follow any positive market moves.

Leg 1 tips: 3, 6, 9

Leg 2 – Jayco R78 Handicap (1400m)

Five-time winner Stylish Miss has had two runs back this campaign for two placings. The most recent outing came in behind Wales and that form should stack up nicely for this. The six-year-old has winning form on rain-affected tracks and its consistent form should be good enough here. Darren Weir trains so don’t expect a big price.

Grande Rosso wasn’t far behind Lord Barrington at Caulfield last start and it should find this slightly easier. The Mark Riley-trained gelding was a winner at Caulfield four starts back and two of its wins have come second up. The extra distance is a big assist here and it should go close off an inside barrier.

Pay Up Bro was a big winner last start as punters expected it would need a few more runs to hit top gear. The John Moloney-trained stayer finished sixth in the Galilee Final over 2400m last preparation, but it has won twice at the 1400m which makes it tough to beat at any distance. It likes to get out in the open, so drawing barrier one isn’t ideal, but consider here.

Leg 2 tips: 6, 7, 10

Leg 3 – Jayco Bendigo Cup 26 October R64 Handicap (1600m)

Kevin’s Time was well backed last start at Sandown, but it got too far back in running before finishing off well for sixth. The Darren Weir-trained horse was a two-length winner on debut before jumping up to rating 70 grade where it finished sixth. It has been asking for more ground and although it drops back to the mile for this, it should still be a winning hope.

Stablemate Tiamo Grace should be included in quaddie selections following its maiden win last start. The three-year-old filly by Monaco Consul looks a natural improver over distance, as its breeding would suggest, and it gets the inside draw coupled with a light weight. Wouldn’t leave it out.

Hezagoa won its only start at Bendigo and is coming off a last start win at Geelong. The five-year-old is rarely far away from the action and despite having to carry a big weight here, it makes it own luck and it relishes the wet conditions.

Leg 3 tips: 1, 5, 13

Leg 4 – Schweppes Australia R70 Handicap (1100m)

Levitical looks to have some potential after winning back-to-back races. The Gerard Moloney-trained gelding won by a length at Ballarat before winning again at Cranbourne last start and it likes to go forward and set the pace. Expect similar tactics for this so include it in quaddie bets.

John O’Shea lines up Maternal which is rising in grade following a last start third at Canterbury. The Street Cry mare beat the likes of Bubbleberry at Warwick Farm in June and that form stacks up extremely well at this level. It ran on well behind Sezanne last start and it’s a big chance of taking this out.

Dalradian is a stakes-winning colt which has struggled since, but it will enjoy taking on some easier opposition. The Darren Weir-trained colt won its only start on this track before winning again in Saturday grade, but it hasn’t been able to cope with taking on the likes of Power Trip and Cohesion in tough stakes races. Follow the betting with this runner.

Leg 4 tips: 6, 7, 12
