Wyong races moved to Newcastle amid heavy rainfall

NSW horse racing news

The recent heavy rainfall has rendered the Wyong Racetrack unsuitable for racing, as per Racing NSW Stewards.

With 245 millimetres of rain recorded over the week and more rain expected, the decision was made to move the scheduled race meeting from Wyong on Thursday May 9th to Newcastle Racecourse.

Newcastle’s current track conditions are labeled as Heavy 8, with the rail set at nine metres around the course.
