Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1340m)

Lankan Pharaoh should go forward and be too good for this lot. The horse resumes after a long lay off, but before being turned out it was only eight parts of a length off victory.

Race 1 tip: Lankan Pharaoh to win at Sportsbet

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1340m)

Messika resumed with a smart second on ANZAC Day and should be able to improve enough to take this one out. The only concern is the wide barrier, but we think Messika is good enough to win.

Race 2 tip: Messika to win at Neds

Race 3 – Maiden Plate (1140m)

Across its last four starts Equiamico has been close to breaking through. Two of those close finishes have been by less than half a length and we believe the gelding is overdue for a win.

Race 3 tip: Equiamico to win at Sportsbet

Race 4 – Maiden Plate (1755m)

Indrabeel has recorded two-straight placings and looms as an improver here. From barrier two the horse will be prominent and we’re backing a breakthrough.

Race 4 tip: Indrabeel to win at Sportsbet

Race 5 – Benchmark 58 (1755m)

It is time for Trump This to jump the grade. The horse stays at the BM58 level, but it has a placing at a higher level just two starts back. On paper Trump This is the best horse.

Race 5 tip: Trump This to win at William Hill

Race 6 – Benchmark 58 (1140m)

Clear Signa is third-up and should be ready to peak. The horse improved dramatically on a disappointing resuming run by finishing fourth at Ballarat in Class 1 company. This looks winnable for the Conners gelding.

Race 6 tip: Clear Signa to win at Neds

Race 7 – Benchmark 64 (1240m)

If St Hilary can find its best here it will be extremely hard to beat. The horse won three-straight races late last year and will be favoured by the inside draw at Geelong.

Race 7 tip: St Hilary to win at William Hill

Race 8 – Benchmark 58 (1340m)

Keighran returns a last-start second at the Yarra Valley. The horse has trailed well enough leading into this race and we’re backing it to add second first-up win at five attempts.

Race 8 tip: Keighran to win at Sportsbet
