Full form & tips for Echuca, Wednesday, December 20

Echuca Punters

TO complement the meeting at Sandown this Wednesday, Racing Victoria has put on an eight race card in the country surrounds of Echuca.

There’s plenty of familiar runners to the Horse Betting team taking to the track in the week leading into Christmas, and we’ll be looking to exploit that knowledge to find winners this Wednesday.

Race 1 – Maiden (2100m)

Raziel looks the clear standout here. After racing in stronger city company maidens the horse drops to a country meet and is expect to shake the tag here.

Race 1 tip: Raziel to win ($2.25 at Neds)

Race 2 – Maiden (1000m)

Cheeky Reward debuted in March, and while that run was uninspiring, any Weir runner that steps of the track for that length of time is bound to pick up a trick or two. The horse looked like it had some racing lessons to learn and we’re expecting a much better performance on Wednesday.

Race 2 tip: Cheeky Reward to win ($5 at Crownbet)

Race 3 – Maiden (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1175909_03]

Casa De Lago missed out by a length and a half at Wangaratta last time out and a sharp improvement is expected. It wasn’t the most professional run by the horse at Wang, but it still managed to finish in the money. We’re backing Casa De Lago to put forward a better showing and get the winner’s cheque.

Race 3 tip: Casa De Lago to win at ($2.90 at Neds)

Race 4 – Maiden Plate (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1175909_04]

The last maiden event on the card should be taken out by Honolulu Lass. The horse has placed third-up previously in the past and last time out it only just missed out by our tip at Wangaratta Tennessee Boss, and we think it goes one better on Wednesday.

Race 4 tip: Honolulu Lass to win at ($2.20 at William Hill)

Race 5 – Benchmark 58 (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1175909_05]

Hard Spark is a good horse that is over the odds here. The mare returns to a track it has never missed a placing at over five runs, including two wins. We’re forgiving the Wangaratta run, and we are certain we’ll see the real Hard Spark here.

Hard Spark is our next best bet at Echuca on Wednesday

Race 5 tip: Hard Spark to win ($7 at Ladbrokes)

Race 6 – Benchmark 58 (1000m)

Coco Couture is looking to go back-to-back after a strong win at Tatura just over a week ago at the same grading. The big tick here for us is that it draws 3.5kg less than the main market rival Victare, which swings the scales in its favour.

Coco Couture is our best bet of the day at Echuca

Race 6 tip:Coco Couture to win ($3.50 at CrownBet)

Race 7 – Benchmark 64 (1170m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1175909_07]

None Left jumps in class here but is more than capable of winning this. Last time out at benchmark 58 level the horse hammered the field by three and a half lengths, and we are backing it to again run strongly.

Race 7 tip:None Left to win ($10 at CrownBet)

Race 8 – Benchmark 58 (1170m)

The aptly named Hot Hansel is running in great form recently. Since running fourth in its resumption on November 25 the horse came out two weeks later and won by just shy of four lengths at Benalla. There’s no reason to question the horse now, it will go well once again.

Race 8 tip: Hot Hansel to win ($3.80 at Sportsbet)
