Winx to undergo vet check before George Main Stakes
CHAMPION mare Winx will undergo a vet inspection prior to running in today’s George Main Stakes at Randwick.
Trainer Chris Waller notified stewards on Saturday morning that Winx had sustained a minor abrasion on the inside of the near side knee.
Winx was inspected by Waller’s veterinarian, who subsequently reported no signs of lameness or tenderness, and was passed fit to start to the feature race.
Winx will be inspected by Racing NSW senior veterinarian Dr Craig Suann when it arrives on track at Randwick.
Winx is the current $1.08 chance at Sportsbet to win its 11-consecutive start.
