What Warwick Farm Races
Where Warwick Farm Racecourse – 2 Hume Hwy, Warwick Farm NSW 2170
When Wednesday, March 5, 2025
First Race 1:45pm AEDT

Warwick Farm Racecourse is the destination for metro racing on Wednesday afternoon, with a quality eight-part program lined up. The rail is in the true position the entire circuit for the meeting, and with some scattered showers forecast to hit the course proper, expect the surface to be rated in the Soft range on race-day morning. The opening event is scheduled to get underway at 1:45pm local time.

Best Bet at Warwick Farm: Seven’s

Seven’s impressed on Australian debut despite being well held by Puntin on January 27. The son of Bated Breath was beaten by four lengths on that occasion but was doing his best work through the line to suggest stepping out to the staying journey would be ideal second-up in the campaign. It’s been over a month between runs, which could be a minor concern; however, with Seven’s possessing an element of class over this lot, expect this untapped four-year-old to get the job done.

Best Bet

Race 6 – Seven’s Silks#3 Seven’s (4)

4yo Gelding | T: Annabel Neasham & Rob Archibald | J: Jason Collett (58kg)

Next Best at Warwick Farm: Koios

Koios couldn’t quite reel in the winning break of Tenderize at Canterbury on February 21 but lost no admirers storming down the centre of the course. He got to within a half-length of claiming victory in that BM72, however, and appears well placed, dropping back into this competitive BM64. He has shown a blistering turn-of-speed every time he’s stepped out this preparation, and provided he can continue to improve heading into start six, there’s no reason why Koios can’t claim his second win of the campaign.

Next Best

Race 3 – Koios Silks#2 Koios (2)

4yo Gelding | T: Sara Ryan | J: Keagan Latham (60kg)

Best Value at Warwick Farm: Travolta

Travolta represents terrific each-way value with horse racing bookmakers after a luckless Australian debut at this course on February 19. The son of Lope De Vega was held up behind a wall of horses at a crucial stage, never coming off the bridal in what turned out to be a glorified barrier trial. He should take dramatic improvement with that effort, and provided Tyler Schiller can keep Travolta out of trouble from barrier six, watch for this guy to be careering down the heart of the course at a big price with Dabble.

Best Value

Race 7 – Travolta Silks#11 Travolta (6)

4yo Gelding | T: Chris Waller | J: Tyler Schiller (57.5kg)
