IT’S never too early to place a bet in Australia and we have tips for the Monday meeting at Taree ready to go.
The New South Wales track has a quality seven-race card for punters to enjoy.
Race 1 – C3 Handicap (1007m)
Valbeata looked the goods when winning three races last campaign and its fresh up form reads well. The four-year-old mare gets the inside draw for its return and that should be enough to see it go close.
Race 1 tip: Valbeata to win at CrownBet.com.au
Race 2 – BM59 Handicap (2018m)
Bochy is a nice type for trainer Kris Lees, which won its first two races this campaign. It returned to form with a second placing last start and it should too much ability for most of this field.
Race 2 tip: Bochy to win at Neds.com.au
Race 3 – Maiden Plate (1257m)
Subtle Grey wasn’t far away as an $81 chance on debut, but it should be at shorter odds here. The four-year-old gets some weight off its back and it could add some place value, seeing that Furore will likely be a short favourite.
Race 3 tip: Subtle Grey to place at Sportsbet.com.au
Race 4 – Maiden Handicap (1007m)
Directory has improved in all three career starts to date so far and it could improve on its last start placing here.
Race 4 tip: Directory to win at CrownBet.com.au
Race 5 – BM68 Handicap (1257m)
Alot Like Home has won three of its last four starts, including a fresh up effort at Scone. Its only recent defeat came in a Highway Handicap at Randwick and that form is tops for this.
Race 5 tip: Alot Like Home to win at CrownBet.com.au
Race 6 – C1 Handicap (1614m)
I Am Awesome showed just how good it could be last start at Taree. The Lees-trained runner turned around some poor form to score easily and there’s plenty more wins in store at this level.
Race 6 tip: I Am Awesome to win at Neds.com.au
Race 7 – BM55 Handicap (1312m)
Jexerlent produced a good showing last start when third and it usually takes a few runs to show its best. This field isn’t much to beat and it should be at each way odds.
Race 7 tip: Jexerlent to win at Sportsbet.com.au
