The eye-catching win prompted Ladbrokes.com.au to wind the Champagne Stakes winner into J.J. Atkins favouritism.
Jockey @KPMcEvoy felt Tangled didn’t really relish the soft track. Chris Waller says 2YO will like 1400 but even more 1600 of JJ Atkins.

Following the strong victory, Tangled firmed into $6.50 at Ladbrokes to take out the Group One JJ Atkins Stakes in just over a month’s time.
The $8.80 Waller runner at WilliamHill.com.au stormed down the middle the track in the fourth race of the day alongside Gary Moore-trained All Too Huiying ($3.40 at Sportbet.com.au), which claimed second ahead of Italia Bella, which finished third to return $5.20 at Crownbet.com.au.
Tangled completes a 2YO stakes double for Snitzel, now on 61 SW lifetime & 26 this season worldwide. Congrats breeder @MatthewSandblom!

Chris Munce’s two-year-old colt Ours To Keep took a huge lead coming into the straight but failed to maintain the advantage to finish fourth.
The long-time leader broke the stalls prior to the jump of the race but was declared fit to run following a vet’s examination.
