TAB suspends Caulfield Guineas market
Betting has been suspended on the Caulfield Guineas with the news favourite Astern will miss a vital lead-up because of an elevated temperature.
The TAB suspended its market after the Godolphin-owned colt was ruled out of Saturday’s Caulfield Guineas Prelude.
A dominant winner of the Group One Golden Rose, Astern was treated on Sunday afternoon and trainer John O’Shea said he would not travel to Melbourne from Sydney for the Prelude.
