Smart Melody draws nicely in Guineas

Unbeaten filly Smart Melody has drawn well in barrier two for the Group One Thousand Guineas in a field of 16.

Smart Melody’s Kris Lees-trained stablemate El Dorado Dreaming will jump from barrier seven in Saturday’s $500,000 race for fillies at Caulfield while Edward Manifold Stakes winner Amphitrite has the outside gate.

Thrillster has drawn a middle barrier in gate eight with the Chris Waller-trained Fiesta in barrier three.
