Skye Bogenhuber to appeal 2-month ban
Skye Bogenhuber will appeal a two month-suspension for her ride on Happy Event in the Dalrello Stakes at Toowoomba.
Bogenhuber vigorously defended the charge in a hearing on Saturday but Queensland stewards found she failed to make sufficient effort to restrain Happy Event at the 900m mark and allowed the filly to keep striding at the 800m.
The jockey said the filly had worked against her and she did everything possible to restrain Happy Event who had lost her tongue tie.
