Senior Qld racing steward stood down

A senior Queensland Racing Integrity Commission steward has been stood down.

Jamie Dart, the director of Stewarding and Licensing who was only appointed to the commission in October, was stood down on full pay on Thursday afternoon pending an internal investigation into “a matter prior to the start of the QRIC” in July.

“The stand-down action does not mean any allegations have been substantiated, and the matter will be fully investigated before any other action is taken,” a QRIC spokeswoman said in a statement.
