Rosehill racing form, odds and free tips, Saturday December 3

Rosehill Tips

ROSEHILL hosts a quality nine-race card this Saturday and we have all the form, latest odds and free tips for every race.

With the minimum stake of $100,000, racing in Sydney throughout the summer promises to attract the very best thoroughbreds and some of them are in action in the two feature races.

The Starlight Stakes and the Festival Stakes have quality fields this Saturday which will be good form guides for the upcoming autumn carnival.

If your horse finishes second in the first four races at Rosehill on Saturday, CrownBet will match your bet with rewards points.

The day kicks off with the Schweppes 2YO Plate where some up-and-coming juveniles take to the track.

Race 1 – Schweppes 2YO Plate (1100m)

Gaulois is on debut for Godolphin after running third in a trial on November 22. The son of Street Cry has drawn awkwardly in barrier six, but Brenton Avdulla rides and it has been well respected in the market at $5.

Trekking was a trial winner on the same day as its stablemate and international rider James Doyle takes the ride. The two-year-old by Street Cry looks a strong type and it will get every chance from barrier two. Its odds of $2.60 suggests it’s the better of the two Godolphin runners.

Gerald Ryan lines up Pymble which has had two trials for a win and a placing. The Snitzel colt is bred for speed early in its career and the $3.50 warrants attention. We’re expecting a forward effort so don’t discount.

Race 1 tip: Trekking to win ($2.60) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 2 – ATC Membership 3YO (1200m)

Brulee didn’t have the best of luck in Melbourne where it finished fourth behind Jennifer Lynn in the Lexus Hybrid last start. The Peter Robl-trained filly has form in Sydney and it gets a 3kg claimer in the saddle. $10 is a good price for a quality runner.

Montreal was a stylish winner on debut at Hawkesbury where it defeated subsequent winner Improvement. The Waterhouse/Bott-trained colt was a well-backed commodity on debut and it’s short in the market again at $2.50. The son of Lonhro looks a nice winning hope.

Calanda won well last start at Warwick Farm and more wins are in store for the son of Snitzel. The Snowden-trained runner went forward over the 1200m and it held on nicely. Expect similar tactics here and the $6 is a fair each way price.

Race 2 tip: Brulee to place ($2.90) at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 3 – Tab Highway Handicap C2 (1100m)

Matthew Dunn has a great record in the Highway Handicap and he lines up last start winner Isla Tristana. The three-year-old filly won by 1.3 lengths at Ballina last start where it ran a quick time and it drops right down in weight to 53.5kg with Tim Clark in the saddle. $5.50 with bookmakers.

Absolute Ripper won by five lengths at Orange last start and it ran a very quick time. The four-year-old ran 57.62 over 1000m and a similar effort should see it winning this. It has drawn well enough and the $4.60 suggests it should go close.

Oakfield Time ran third in a Highway Handicap last start and it didn’t have all favours in the run. The Time Thief mare went forward and was tackled early in the run, but it held on well for third and its form prior was solid. It’s the current equal favourite at $4.60 and it should go close.

Race 3 tip: Oakfield Time to win ($4.60) at Bet365.com

Race 4 – Treeserve R85 Handicap (1200m)

Nudierudie is a quality mare which ran on well behind Daysee Doom last start. The Hawkes-trained four-year-old was a stylish winner two back at Canterbury and it should improve with two runs under its belt this campaign. It’s yet to win on this track, but the $6 is a nice price in an even field.

Dee Nine Elle is fresh up after an impressive campaign which included a five-length win at Canterbury. The Tony Gollan-trained mare has subsequently finished second in both starts and this race looks a suitable first up target. Respected in the market at $6.

Yuma Desert hasn’t quite lived up to expectations this preparation, but it has been specked in from $10 to $8.50. The Snowden-trained mare is a winner at this distance and if it can find the lead with a slow tempo, its chances increase significantly. Any easing of the track would help.

Race 4 tip: Nudierudie to win ($6) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 5 – Tabcorp R83 Handicap (1200m)

Elemenohpee hasn’t quite lived up to expectations this preparation, but it showed good form last campaign. The Hawkes-trained gelding has twice placed at this distance and it will likely settle back from the wide draw and sprint home late. $6 is a good each way price.

Reincarnate is a five-time winner from 15 starts which made it back-to-back victories last start. The John O’Shea-trained gelding has yet to win on this track, but it has won four times at this distance and this doesn’t appear to be much harder than recent efforts. After opening at $2.60 it has drifted to $2.70.

Salmanazar was heavily backed last start when it ran ninth at Rosehill, but it should appreciate having the run under its belt. The Tony Gollan-trained gelding won its only second-up start and with its solid form last campaign, it could be good enough to take this out at $6.

Race 5 tip: Reincarnate to win ($2.70) at WilliamHill.com.au

Race 6 – Starlight Stakes (1100m)

Kuro showed a glimpse of its best form last start when running second at Rosehill. The Joe Pride-trained gelding is a former top liner which has a fair amount of quality, but it has been struggling to win a race. Dropping in weight to 55.5kg is ideal so it can’t be ruled out at $9.

Nieta is a five-time winner from nine starts which has looked impressive this season. The John Thompson-trained mare won by a length at Randwick before destroying them at Rosehill by 2.8 lengths last start. It’s going great guns and the weight of 54kg helps. $3 with bookmakers.

Princefamous was a winner fresh up and it’s good enough to continue its winning ways. The five-year-old has won five times from 11 starts and it either wins or doesn’t go close. That inconsistency makes it tough to follow, but its last win shouldn’t be respected.

Race 6 tip: Nieta to win ($3) at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 7 – ATC Cup (2000m)

Lady Le Fay returns from a disappointing campaign in Melbourne, but it should be better suited in Sydney. The Chris Waller-trained mare goes well at this distance and it will enjoy running in this grade with 54kg on its back. It’s the current second favourite at $5.

Falkenberg is only a two-win mare, but it fought hard behind New Tipperary last start and it has class on its side. The four-year-old finished third in the Queensland Oaks and stepping up over 2000m for this will be ideal. It has been heavily backed into $4.60.

Not A Gypsy continues to run well without winning and it went close when second last start. The Snowden-trained gelding drops in weight to 54kg for this and it could get one last shot at them in the straight. It’s currently paying $9 which is over the odds.

Race 7 tip: Falkenberg to win ($4.60) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 8 – The Steel Builders Festival Stakes (1500m)

Religify owns a superior course record of nine starts for five wins and it was far too good for them last start. The Waller-trained gelding put 2.3 lengths on Duca Valentinois and its form prior was consistent behind some nice types. $4.20 available with bookmakers.

Darren Weir lines up Rageese which was a quality winner of the Chatham Stakes last start over international raider Arod. The son of Street Cry has hit top form and it bypassed the Group 1 Railway Stakes to run here, so this is a much more suitable target. The $4.60 on offer is a good price from bookmakers.

Extensible closed off well behind Silent Sedition last start and it looks well-suited at this level. The Snowden-trained mare hasn’t finished worse than third in five starts on this track and a run anywhere near its best would see it winning here at odds of $6.

Race 8 tip: Rageese to win ($4.60) at Bet365.com

Race 9 – Tab R85 Handicap (1500m)

Duca Valentinois ran on well behind Religify last start and although it rises up in weight for this, it drops back in grade. The John O’Shea-trained gelding was a winner three back at Canterbury and international rider James Doyle is in the saddle. Chance at $5.50.

Sir Plush hasn’t had everything to suit of late, but it has been fighting well in its races. The Bjorn Baker-trained gelding has won four from 12 starts and this race should pan out nicely for it. The son of Pins is the easing favourite at $2.70, but it should run well.

Redoutable Heart has won only one from 16 starts, but it has been well backed into $4.60. The Waller-trained gelding ran on well behind Burning Passion last start and punters are confident it can run well again. Each way chance with Shinn riding.

Race 9 tip: Sir Plush to win ($2.70) at CrownBet.com.au
