Race 1 – Benchmark 58 (2040m)

Princess Anacheeva has placed in five of its last six races and looks well placed to go again. The horse has won at the Mornington track prior and the recent form is great so we’re happy to place a bet on the nose here.

Race 1 tip: Princess Anacheeva to win ($5 at Sportsbet)

Race 2 – Maiden (1500m)

A luckier run for Lady De Bathe would have seen the horse break the maiden grade last time out, but we all know racing doesn’t work like that. Still, the horse showed us that a win is just around the corner and we think this may be the ideal race to show that.

Race 2 tip: Lady De Bathe to win ($3.10 at Neds)

Race 3 – Maiden Plate (1000m)

Steel Of Madrid looks the best performed horse in this maiden field and we believe it will finally breakthrough at the ninth time of asking. Only twice in its career to date has the four-year-old missed a placing which stands it head and shoulders above most of the runners here.

Race 3 tip: Steel Of Madrid to win ($2.60 at Neds)

Race 4 – Maiden (1200m)

Amastryker has not missed a placing this preparation and has recorded second placings in three consecutive races. The blinkers get applied on Saturday which should sharpen up its performance and we think it will finally shake the maiden company at the seventh attempt.

Race 4 tip: Amastryker to win ($2.90 at Sportsbet)

Race 5 – Benchmark 58 (1200m)

Hot Girl Wanted is in good touch and gets the in-form claiming Chris Caserta, which will help immensely. The horse also drops slightly in class, which will also help. We’re backing it in to get the job done.

Race 5 tip: Hot Girl Wanted to win ($2.60 at William Hill)

Race 6 – Benchmark 58 (1200m)

Kentucky Flyer is second-up on Saturday where it has won at previously. The resuming run at Cranbourne was very encouraging at the same grading and distance it confronts this weekend so we are anticipating a fitter and much improved Kentucky Flyer.

Race 6 tip: Kentucky Flyer to win ($4.40 at Crownbet)

Race 7 – Benchmark 64 (1500m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177477_07]

Lucente has placed second in back-to-back events, the last of which it only narrowly went down. The horse is improving with every run this preparation and we think it’s ready to peak in the last event on the Mornington card despite the slight step-up in class.

Race 7 tip: Lucente to win ($7 at Neds)
