Heath 1100 Stakes attracts near-capacity field
The Heath 1100 Stakes has drawn a near-capacity field, with 15 sprinters expected to clash in the $200,000 Group 3 contest at Caulfield on Saturday afternoon.
Given that 10 of the 15 runners will be first-up, the 2023 edition of The Heath 1100 Stakes appears to be a nightmare for form analysts to dissect.
The top two in racebook order hail from the Godolphin yard, with Ingratiating and Kallos topping the weight scale with 58.5kg each after claiming Group 3 victories at the back end of last campaign.
Bella Nipotina and Masked Crusader come into the race as the only Group 1 winners; however, they are both seeking to recapture that form after underwhelming autumn preparations.
Group 2 winner Asfoora will return on Saturday looking to build off of her placing in the Oakleigh Plate and strong performances in The Galaxy and The Quokka.
The Peter Moody & Katherine Coleman-trained Sigh will be seeking to keep her unbeaten preparation intact after tasting success in all three of her starts this campaign.
Of the four-year-olds mares, Magic Time and Wee Nessy will return for their first starts since turning four, while La Danseuse Rouge will bring winning form from her Listed Lightning Stakes victory last start.
