Race 1 – Class 2 Handicap (1600m)

Aberration is a last-start winner that rates really well to go back-to-back. The Brad Widdup runner won under duress at Beaumont just over a week ago and will be rock-hard fit and ready for the step-up to the mile.

Race 1 tip: Aberration to win ($1.80 at William Hill)

Race 2 – Class 2 Handicap (1600m)

The Lees-trained I Am Awesome is hunting a hat-trick and in this smaller field it is as well placed as any. The horse is one of only two last-start winners coming into the event, and it gets in 4.5kg better in the weights than the main rival. From gate three I am Awesome will be hard to hold out.

Race 2 tip: I Am Awesome to win ($4.50 at Neds)

Race 3 – Benchmark 65 (1200m)

Evonne’s Magic needs to improve significantly on its fourth-placed finish at Nowra on January 15 upon resumption, but a great second-up record of a win and two placings from three attempts boosts our confidence significantly. The horse also has a great record at the course and distance, winning and placing over two runs.

Race 3 tip: Evonne’s Magic to win ($7 at Neds)

Race 4 – Maiden (1100m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180446_04]

Knock Toff finished inside the first-four on debut and should improve significantly in its next start. The horse is expected to go forward and attempt to win it from the front, like it almost did back on January 11. Knocked Toff will improve after the experience and will be much fitter.

Race 4 tip: Knocked Toff to win ($2.30 at William Hill)

Race 5 – Maiden (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180446_05]

Winds Of Change placed twice from three hitouts on its debut and after a great trial on January 12 it should be ready to peak. The Waterhouse and Bott colt has streets on this field on potential alone and needs to be winning this event.

Race 5 tip: Winds Of Change to win ($1.65 at Crownbet)

Race 6 – Maiden Plate (1000m)

Ivira is the only one of three runners in the ten horse field that has hit the racetrack competitively. Of those three runners, our selection is the only one that has finished inside the first-four, while the other two failed to finish inside the top half of the field. The experience will count for plenty here.

Race 6 tip: Ivira to win ($10 at William Hill)

Race 7 – Maiden (1100m)

Maui Princess has placed in three of its four career starts and looks well placed to break through at the fifth time of asking. The Sepoy filly will need some luck from barrier seven, but it is due for some good fortune after encouraging trouble in both starts this preparation.

Race 7 tip: Maui Princess to win ($2.70 at Crownbet)

Race 8 – Benchmark 72 (1100m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1180446_08]

Legadema resumes after four months off the track and looks in great order to deliver first-up. The horse has won upon resumption, and gets the added bonus of jumping from barrier three. Legadema has trialed leading into this race and will be highly competitive.

Race 8 tip: Legadema to win ($2.30 at Crownbet)
