Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

Amata Sorella comes into this race after recording a third placed finish at Grafton on December 3. It was the first time the horse has finished in the money in its career, and looms as a learning curve. We think it is the horse to beat in the opener.

Race 1 tip: Amata Sorella to win at Neds

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

Lyrical Prince is a dual acceptor that only narrowly missed out in its last-start. If the son of Your Song takes its place in this race it will prove hard to overcome given it the way it closed it its most recent race.

Race 2 tip: Lyrical Price to win at Crownbet

Race 3 – Benchmark 65 (2100m)

We are expecting Dazzle Us Again to live up to its name on Friday. The horse has won twice and placed third across its last three runs. Red Dazzler gelding jumps significantly in weight from its last start, but winning form is good form and we are backing the horse in once again.

Race 3 tip: Dazzle Us Again to win at Neds

Race 4 – Maiden (1400m)

Expect Sonic Bloom to show plenty of guile in this one. The horse has finished in the placings three times from four attempts this preparation and has been no further than eight-parts of a length away from the eventual winner in its last three starts. Sonic Bloom looks ready to win.

Race 4 tip: Sonic Bloom to win at William Hill

Race 5 – Benchmark 55 (1200m)

Young Amazon has finished in the placings across its last four races, and has finished within a length of the winner on two consecutive occasions. The five-year-old mare returns to a track and distance where it has won before and we are backing it to make an impact here.

Race 5 tip: Young Amazon to win ($2.45 at Neds)

Race 6 – Benchmark 55 (1200m)

Haylee Prince won well at Ballina on December 14 and looks well placed here to replicate that performance. The horse has three wins from ten attempts over the sprint distance and while this is the Lismore debut for the son of Drumbeats, we are anticipating a strong run.

Haylee Prince is our best bet of the day at Lismore

Race 6 tip: Haylee Prince to win at CrownBet

Race 7 – Class 2 Plate (1516m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1175968_07]

Arlington Heights will be looking to draw upon its two runs since resuming in early November. The horse was miles off the pace first-up at Grafton, but finished much closer two-weeks later at Casino in Class 3 company. Fitness will be on its side now and we think the race is well within its wheelhouse.

Race 7 tip: Arlington Heights to win at CrownBet

Race 8 – Christmas Cup (1400m)

Phast Lad returns to is pet distance and will be hard to hold out here. Four wins and five placings from 13 attempts is an enviable record, and the recent form is good too after racing wide and still managing to pace at Ballina. At the bottom of the weights we are expecting a bold showing.

Phast Lad is our next best bet of the day at Lismore

Race 8 tip: Phast Lad to win at Sportsbet
