Free entries set to close ahead of Hong Kong International Races

Free entries will close in two weeks’ time for all four Group 1 contests at the 2018 LONGINES Hong Kong International Races, which will take place at Sha Tin Racecourse on Sunday, 9 December.

The closing date for free entries to the flagship year-end occasion is Monday, 22 October, 2018. Supplementary entries close on 19 November, 2018.

The LONGINES HKIR carries total prize money of HK$93 million. The showcase contest, the 2000m Group 1 LONGINES Hong Kong Cup has a lucrative purse of HK$28 million; the Group 1 LONGINES Hong Kong Mile is worth HK$25 million; the 1200m Group 1 LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint and the 2400m Group 1 LONGINES Hong Kong Vase are each worth HK$20 million.
