Cranbourne night racing form and free tips, Friday November 25

Cranbourne Tips

THE Victorian night racing circuit travels to Cranbourne this Friday night where punters can sink their teeth into an eight-race card.

There is a good mix of maiden and handicap racing which will suit all punters and if you take a three leg multi-bet at Cranbourne and you miss by one leg, CrownBet will give away up to $25 in bonus points.

The night starts with the De Bortoli Woodfired Shiraz Maiden where a big field of 15 is expected to line up.

Race 1 – De Bortoli Woodfired Shiraz Maiden (1000m)

Charleston Dancer finished fourth on debut at Echuca as a $3 chance and it should be well favoured again. The Ciaron Maher-trained filly won’t have it easy from barrier 14, but there isn’t much exposed form in this race and it could take advantage.

Airino drops back in grade after running seventh at Ballarat on debut. The John Sadler-trained filly finished over five lengths behind Sebrikka in a strong handicap field and this will be much easier. Expect plenty of market support for this runner.

Pearl Congenial has placed in three from five runs and two of those placings came against tough opposition. It finished second behind Missrock on debut and then third behind Dalradian in the Inglis 2YO. That form should stack up well here so consider in win bets.

Race 1 tip: Airino to place at CrownBet.com.au

Race 2 – Highview Accounting & Financial Fillies 3YO (1400m)

Cash Affair is a three-year-old which probably should have won a race by now. The Darren Weir-trained runner has placed at its last three starts, but it finished four lengths behind the winner as an odds-on chance last start. This doesn’t look any harder so expect a top effort.

No Tan Tat finished second on debut for trainer Greg Eurell and it looms as a winning chance again. The daughter of O’lonhro was specked at each way odds on that occasion and punters should expect a similar price here. Not without a chance.

The strong Hayes/Dabernig team line up Nova Rocha which produced a career-best performance last start. The filly ran second at Pakenham as the $1.75 favourite and although punters will be hurting from that, we’re predicting it to be well supported again.

Race 2 tip: Cash Affair to win at WilliamHill.com.au

Race 3 – De Bortoli Yarra Valley Maiden (1400m)

Run For Raffin has been consistent for its connections by placing in five from its eight starts. The five-year-old ran as a $81 chance last start when finishing second at Pakenham and we don’t think it will be paying the same odds again. Looks a winning hope with some luck.

Nigel Blackiston lines up Distant Sky which is nearing that elusive win. The son of Starcraft finished off well last start for third at Bendigo and a similar run would take it close. Apprentice jockey Paddy Pilley takes 2kg off its back and it should be considered.

Zaaresque is another runner which should break maiden status soon. The Rick Harrison-trained mare has had 15 starts for six placings, including a second placing at Moonee Valley behind Russian Ruby last start. It will appreciate conditions and it won’t be far away.

Race 3 tip: Distant Sky to win at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 4 – Highview Accounting & Financial R70 (2060m)

Thunder Connection is talented at this level having had six starts for two wins and two placings. The son of Pins won back-to-back races either side of a spell and although it finished only fifth in this grade last start, it deserves another chance.

Tintaglia brings some class to the race with 21 starts for four wins and seven placings. The Darren Weir-trained mare battled on well behind Shockaholic last start and that form should stack up well here. It won by six lengths on a heavy track in April, but it can handle the dry ground as well.

Star Zone ran sixth behind Shockaholic last start and after four runs this campaign, it should be ready to fire. The Brian Gentle-trained gelding was considered good enough to run in the Group 1 Queensland Derby where it failed, but it should be considered at big odds.

Race 4 tip: Tintaglia to win at CrownBet.com.au

Race 5 – Mypunter C1 Handicap (1600m)

Morning Sunshine is a last start winner for Jim Cerchi which will appreciate the rise in distance. The four-year-old defeated a handy maiden field at Pakenham last start and it will get all favours from the inside draw. Chance to repeat.

Ceylon looks to have plenty of ability after another strong showing last start. The Busuttin/Young-trained filly finished second on debut before winning by two lengths on this track. It was ridden off the speed last start which didn’t suit, so expect a more forward position here and it looks very tough to hold out.

Wichita Woman finished 10th in the Ethereal Stakes before breaking the maiden ranks at Sale in February. The highly-regarded mare hasn’t quite lived up to expectations this preparation, but it could add some value to combinations in this.

Race 5 tip: Ceylon to win at CrownBet.com.au

Race 6 – Browns Sawdust & Shavings R64 Handicap (1400m)

Emoji has been in form throughout this campaign and it drops in grade after running fourth at rating 70 last start. The Grahame Begg-trained gelding is twice a winner at this distance and the son of Denman looks a strong chance if it can carry the 60.5kg.

I Bought A Horse is also dropping back in grade after running in rating 70 grade last start. The John McArdle-trained gelding ran third behind Stringer Bell two back which is good form and it has won and placed in two starts at Cranbourne. Inside draw will bring it into contention.

Fomo was tested against some nice horses in the Sandown Guineas and although it finished 7.85 lengths behind Morton’s Fork, this is much easier. The three-year-old by Pins won its maiden at Donald three back and its connections have a big opinion of it. Punters will likely back it in.

Race 6 tip: Fomo to win at Bet365.com

Race 7 – De Bortoli Noble One R64 Handicap (1200m)

Fire Agate was a winner on debut before running consecutive placings at Bendigo. The Greg Eurell-trained gelding was a beaten $1.75 favourite at Pakenham last start, but punters should forgive that effort and it should be paying a better price.

Spritely Girl is a winner of four races from 19 starts and it drops back in grade here. The Jason Warren-trained mare is a four-time winner at this distance and it should improve having had a fresh up run at Mornington. Will likely head forward from barrier five.

Bringaroo didn’t fire over the 1000m last start, but expect a more competitive effort here. The Hayes/Dabernig-trained gelding placed behind Conchita at Moonee Valley prior to that run and a similar run should take it close.

Race 7 tip: Fire Agate to win at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 8 – Highview Accounting & Financial R64 (1300m)

Sagabella is out of form, but it has some ability and it could cause an upset in this. The Todd Balfour-trained mare has placed at this distance and if it shows its best, it could pay a handy place price.

Ecology needed the run last start when fourth at Kyneton and it will improve off that. The six-year-old has placed in both runs on this track and in two from three second up. It won’t have to improve much to figure in the finish.

Star Impulse is a seasoned runner which is having its eighth start on this track. The Shane Stockdale-trained mare has a good record at this course and its best form comes over this distance. Not the worst in an even race.

Race 8 tip: Ecology to place at Bet365.com
