Best racing value bets for Ipswich, Moonee Valley and Rosehill

Weekend tips

WE have looked over all the betting markets for racing at Ipswich, Moonee Valley and Rosehill to find the best value tips this Saturday.

With the fields coming up evenly there isn’t many short-priced favourites running around, which means punters are going to get maximum value out of some quality thoroughbreds.

Our top five value picks this Saturday starts at Rosehill where the conditions will be soggy, but we’ve found two runners which should handle the track with style.

Ladbrokes.com.au

Tucanchoo – Rosehill Race 6

We thought Tucanchoo would run a big race last start and it produced a solid run for second.

The Hawkes-trained seven-year-old ran on well behind race-rival Supply And Demand after travelling a touch wide throughout and conditions don’t change much for this.

The son of Pentire has won and placed in two attempts at Rosehill, it has won at this distance and its wet track stats read well with four starts on a slow track for three wins.

Punters were able to secure a good place price last start and again here. $6 for the win and $2 to place at Sportsbet.com.au – that’s a good price which shouldn’t be backed into shorter odds come race day.

Carzoff – Rosehill Race 8

Backing imported runners is a good recipe for success, especially after they produce a big run for second.

Carzoff is a new addition to the Chris Waller stable after spending its time in France where it won one and placed in two from seven starts.

Among those starts included a last-placed finish behind the highly-regarded Makahiki in the Prix Niel at Chantilly, but despite the poor performance, just running that grade is fantastic form for this.

The son of Zoffany finished second at Warwick Farm in May after settling at the back and finishing powerfully. It was only a narrow margin behind Pelorus Jack which has plenty of ability and it looks well-placed on the weights here.

There are no superstars in this field and it looks one of the best value bets this Saturday at $3.80 with Ladbrokes.com.au.

Fast Cash – Moonee Valley Race 5

Fast Cash was a $15 chance earlier in the week and that was quickly snapped up. Punters at CrownBet can now get $10 for the good value proposition at Moonee Valley.

The Wendy Kelly-trained five-year-old flew home at Caulfield last start and it has won multiple times at Moonee Valley. It has also won multiple times on a good track and at this distance, so the odds are appealing.

It drops to 51kg with the 3kg claim of Brandon Stockdale and that makes it a threat to the well-favoured runners.

Get in quick before it drops even further in the betting.

Rhythm To Spare – Moonee Valley Race 8

The Michael Moroney stable is in good form and Rhythm To Spare looks expertly placed in the Travis Harrison Cup.

The seven-year-old is a nine-time winner which was too good for them at Caulfield in April and it was ran on credibly at Morphettville in the R.A. Lee Stakes behind Burning Front.

Burning Front would be an odds-on chance in this and Rhythm To Spare has drawn perfectly in barrier one which will allow it to find a close position.

It has raced once at The Valley when fading out for fifth, but that came over 2040m and the drop back to the mile is ideal where it has won seven from 18 attempts.

$5.50 at Sportsbet.com.au is a good each way price and punters should get at least even money for it to place.

Kinshachi – Ipswich Race 9

Kinshachi will look to give Darren Beadman another winner and it looms as a good value bet.

The daughter of Commands was running on well at Doomben last start and that came on an unsuited dry track. Its form in the wet is superior with three wins from six starts and the wet Ipswich track looks ideal.

Its form is solid with a seventh in the Magic Millions at the Gold Coast and a third in the Hawkesbury Crown. Its two runs since that effort on April 29 have been fair and punters should expect to see improvement this Saturday.

Take the $5.50 on offer at Bet365.com.
