The track is currently rated a Soft 5, and the rail is in the true position for the entire circumference of the 1270m course. Horsebetting.com.au brings you three best bets for the Kilcoy racing meeting and a suggested quaddie. Race 1 is set to face the starter at 11:52am AEST.
Best Bet – #2 Elotrolado
Barry Lockwood will saddle up his six-year-old mare Elotrolado in the penultimate race on Friday where she looks hard to beat. By Time Thief, this mare was beaten first-up by Dr Why Not who has terrific form around Weona Smartone and The Move and then went to Ipswich where she can be forgiven. James Orman rode her on that day and after jumping from barrier nine she was just caught wide throughout which made it hard for her to win. She had every right to drop out of it, but she stuck on gamely for fifth and should find this a lot easier.

Race 7 – Elotrolado (#2)Next Best – #4 Coat of Arms
Toby & Trent Edmonds look to have a stranglehold on the final race of the day with Coast of Arms. The three-year-old son of I Am Invincible ran second at the Sunshine Coast three starts back, before running into a couple of smart ones at Rockhampton in a Benchmark 70. He then went back to a Class 1 and was only narrowly defeated at Grafton. He has drawn the carpark in gate 20, but Zac Lloyd’s 2kg claim gets him down to a manageable 58.5kg and will likely scorch across to find the lead. He just looks better than them.

Race 8 – Coat of Arms (#4)Best Value – #8 Learning Curve
Three-year-old filly, Learning Curve, was a really nice trial winner prior to her debut back in October 2020 and franked that by winning well at the Sunshine Coast. She was then beaten by a smart one at Ballina and finished fourth at the Gold Coast at the end of her last preparation. Chris Anderson didn’t trial her prior to her first-up run and it told late as she dropped out to finish last. She can bounce back in this in an easier grade given she will be in the best part of the track from barrier one under Anthony Allen. If she jumps cleanly and leads, she will take plenty of catching second-up.
