Winx opens as favourite for All-Star Mile

ONLINE bookmaker Sportsbet has wasted no time in installing the mighty mare Winx as the short priced favourite for next year’s inagurial running of the All-Star Mile at Flemington.
The four-time Group 1 Cox Plate champion is at $1.80 to win the first ever running of the All-Star Mile next autumn.
Sportsbet has the world’s best racecourse’s stablemate The Autumn Sun ($8) as the only other runner in single figures, while Darren Weir’s smart three-year-old Amphitrite is on the next line of betting at $11.
Sha Tin superstar and 2017 Group 1 Hong Kong Mile winner Beauty Generation is also at the $11 mark.
Sportsbet representative Ella Zampatti said the All-Star Mile would be a ideal race for the mighty mare Winx.
“We’re expecting Winx to be back for the autumn and this new race could fit in with her campaign. As far as getting enough votes goes, Winx will attract numbers that some Aussie politicians could only dream of.”
