Racing Qld appoints new chief executive

Former Tatts Group executive Brendan Parnell has been appointed the new chief executive of Racing Queensland.

Mr Parnell was announced on Friday to fill the position left vacant when Eliot Forbes resigned in March.

He will have several issues to deal with, most notably the state of the track at Eagle Farm, which has been closed for all but one of the past four years.
