Magic Millions tips, form and odds, Saturday January 13

Gold Coast tips

THE Magic Millions is one of the richest days in racing and it features both the 2YO Classic and the 3YO Guineas.

It’s one of Australia’s most iconic thoroughbred race meetings and we have free tips, form and odds for all nine races on the card.

If your horse finishes second, third or fourth in races 1-4 this Saturday, CrownBet will give up to $50 in bonus bets.

Race 1 – Magic Millions Maiden (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177700_01]
Dinnigan is the raging hot favourite at $1.50 and its placing behind 3YO Guineas contender Pierata last start was quality. The Waterhouse/Bott-trained filly has been around the mark throughout its career and the amount of money coming for it is astounding.

Race 1 tip: Dinnigan to win ($1.50) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 2 – Country Cup (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177700_02]
Suggan Buggan was a good winner fresh up this campaign before placing last start. The Robert Heathcote-trained runner has been consistent throughout its career and it only needs to cope with the wide draw to be a factor here.

Race 2 tip: Suggan Buggan to win ($5.50) at Neds.com.au

Race 3 – Magic Millions Quality (1300m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177700_03]
Havasay had a chance to win last start, but the pace of the race should suit better here. The Liam Birchley-trained five-year-old has drawn barrier 15, which will likely see it drops to the back, but it should show a good turn-of-foot.

Race 3 tip: Havasay to win ($4.40) at Sportsbet.com.au

Race 4 – Magic Millions Trophy (2200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177700_04]
Sedanzer was a little disappointed when getting beaten by Pecans last start, but it gets into this race well on the weights. The former Oaks runner carries only 54kg and gets off 3.5kg better than Payroll. That’s a big advantage for a quality type.

Race 4 tip: Sedanzer to win ($3.50) at Neds.com.au

Race 5 – It’s Live Magic Millions (1300m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177700_05]
Global Glamour has the class edge on this field, but it will need to rebound after running ninth at Flemington behind Shoals. She has since won two trials to prepare for this and look for the mare to use her gate speed to cross from out wide.

Race 5 tip: Global Glamour to win ($2.90) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 6 – Magic Millions Cup (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177700_06]
Care to Think will be tough to beat, but it has drawn barrier 19 so we’re leaning towards Crack Me Up. The Birchley-trained gelding continues to be underrated by bookmakers, despite winning at Randwick last start. There’s good value on offer.

Race 6 tip: Crack Me Up to win ($6.50) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 7 – Magic Millions 3YO Guineas (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177700_07]
Pierata will be the hardest to beat here after drawing the inside barrier. The three-year-old won from the inside barrier three starts back at Doomben and that came by 2.8 lengths. Stretching out to this distance won’t be an issue and we’re expecting Corey Brown to find a spot behind the leaders and wait for a gap in the straight.

Race 7 tip: Pierata to win ($2.30) at CrownBet.com.au

Race 8 – Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177700_08]
Sunlight is the best horse in this race, but it has been enjoying easy leads over its past two starts and that’s not going to happen here. The Zoustar filly could burn out over the latter stages and we’re gone with the more powerful Jonker here. The strong colt has spaced its rivals in two starts to date and looks a ready-made Magic Millions winner.

Race 8 tip: Jonker to win ($4.80) at Neds.com.au

Race 9 – Magic Millions Snippets (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177700_09]
Viddora is a quality type which should be at much shorter odds. The five-year-old was a brilliant group one winner at Ascot and its form prior included a placing behind She Will Reign. She opened at $2.70 and that price should continue to firm.

Race 9 tip: Viddora to win ($2.30) at Sportsbet.com.au
