Hawkesbury races bettings preview – April 05, 2021
Seven races are set to be run and won at Hawkesbury on the Easter Monday Public Holiday. With the track rated a Good 4 and the rail in the True, we should see an even and fair day’s racing. HB’s form experts have found you three bets and a Quaddie to get through the Monday meeting which jumps at 1:25pmAEST.
Best Bet – #4 Ceasefire
Paul Messara saddles up dominant debut winner Ceasefire in the final race of the day and he looks very hard to beat again. After romping in by six lengths on debut at Tamworth, the three-year-old gelding now gets his chance in town and has been made favourite accordingly. With Robbie Dolan in the saddle from the wide gate, we suspect the pair will push forward and look for a bit of cover over the 1100m. He looks classy.

Next Best – #4 Gleneagles
Two-year-old colt, Gleneagles, looks to have a bit of ability based on what we have seen in his two career starts to date. The son of Capitalist trialled really well prior to his debut run which saw him finish runner-up to She’s All Class in the Wyong Magic Millions. A trip to Brisbane came next and he didn’t show up, so we are putting it down to him not having handled the Eagle Farm surface. A trial at the end of March should have him fit and ready to go.

Best Value – #7 Just A Brother
Terry Croft and Mikayla Weir combine in the penultimate with Just A Brother who is racing well of late. The three-year-old gelding has had six starts for a win and two third placings, including a win at Scone two back and a narrow third at this track last time out over 1500m. He gets the same track and distance on Monday, so with the speed on he can be finishing strongly again late.
