Ascot 1000 Guineas tip: Twilight Tale
Both of Twilight Tale’s wins to kick off her racing career have been very impressive, with her last start 2.6-length win at Ascot being the better of the two. The Michael Grantham-trained filly settled midfield before working her way to the outside of the field to let down with a blistering turn of foot. From barrier four, Clint Johnston-Porter can settle her closer to the speed, and if she shows a similar turn of foot, Twilight Tale will win again.

Lex Piper Stakes tip: All Grunt
All Grunt is the clear class horse in the Lex Piper Stakes, following his gutsy performance to finish third in the Listed Challenge Stakes. Jarrad Noske would like to have his time again after he planted the son of Grunt three-wide and travelled further than any of his rivals. If All Grunt can find cover worse than midfield and is within three lengths of the leaders turning for home, anything better than even money with PlayUp is a great bet.

Best Bet at Ascot: Soso Lucky
Soso Lucky has been anything but that in her last two starts this preparation, finishing second on both occasions after flashing home from the back of the field over 1200m. The Daniel & Ben Pearce-trained mare weaved a passage between runners at this track last start but couldn’t reel in the leader. Chris Parnham retaining the ride and a rise to 1400m are two big positives for Soso Lucky, and if she gets an ounce of luck, she will go one better.
