Provincial racing heads to Wyong Race Club on Tuesday afternoon for a competitive eight-part program commencing at 12:10pm local time. The rail moves out +3m the entire circuit for the meeting, and with rain expected on race-day, we’ll be doing the from for a surface in the Soft range.

This five-year-old gelding has been a perennial placegetter amongst his five career starts, finding the minor money in four of them, with many of those performances as a short-priced favorite with online bookmakers. He comes here on the back of a soft jump-out at Wyong on June 20, and the Mark Minervini stable seems to have found a terrific kickoff point for this son of Sooboog after a 157-day spell. He’s likely to bound to the lead at some stage and hopefully this time Soobooco can go on with the job.

Silvanito is set to make his return from a 159-day spell and looks primed to pick up his second career win. This son of Shooting To Win made his way into BM72 company at Warwick Farm on January 26 last start before heading to the paddock and wasn’t disgraced in finishing mid-field 2.7 lengths away from the winner, Never Second. His barrier trials leading into this contest are those of a developing galloper progressing nicely. Zac Lloyd takes the reins for the first time and has a tricky task to find an economical run from barrier eight; however, if Silvanito is within striking distance on the turn, his explosiveness will give followers a massive sight.

Although Diva Carolina is yet to find her first win since arriving in Australia, she seems to be travelling well third-up into the campaign. She never saw daylight last time out at Newcastle on June 3 when trying to get off the inside rail. The extra 100m should suit, and with the prospect of a wet track, the New Zealand-bred galloper should relish the conditions. She draws to get a soft run from barrier three, and with the in-form Dylan Gibbons picking up the ride, Diva Carolina is bound to give us a sight at each-way odds with the top betting sites.
