HorseBetting’s New South Wales form analyst brings you his best bets and quaddie numbers for the eight-race card at Wyong on Tuesday, February 15. Racing will get underway at 1:15pm AEDT, with the running of a 2YO Maiden Plate over 1300m.

Wyong’s Best Bet Of The Day – Race 1 #5 Bessmati $4

Unfortunately for us punters, the $4 on offer with SportsBet isn’t going to last, as the current race favourite, Mumbai Jewel, is set to be scratched after winning at Randwick on Saturday. Despite the price of Bessmati likely to half, we are expecting her to prove too good in what will be her third career start. The Annabel Neasham-trained filly made an eye-catching debut at Doomben on January 22 when going down by two-tenths of a length, before heading to Randwick and contesting the Listed Lonhro Plate, where she was far from disgraced behind Cythera and Lady Laguna. All along, this daughter of Fastnet Rock looked as though she would want further than the 1000m she has contested in her two starts to date, so the rise to 1300m should be right up her alley. Bessmati has drawn one from the outside in barrier eight, but she is likely to get back under Chad Schofield anyway, so we can’t see the barrier causing any issues. This looks a nice race for Bessmati to get her first win out of the way.

Next Best Bet – Sing A Love Song

Gary Moore and Keagan Latham combine in the fourth race with three-year-old colt, Sing A Love Song. How this galloper is still a maiden is beyond us, given the way he performed at his second start some 13 months ago when flashing late to run third behind Remarque and Zethus. The son of Your Song was Group 3 placed as a two-year-old, and has run some good races behind horses like Hilal, Coastwatch and Bacchanalia, which is definitely good enough to be winning a provincial maiden. Two starts ago, Moore took the colt to the Gold Coast for the Magic Millions Maiden, where he hit the line well to run sixth in the 1200m event, before bumping into one better than him on the Kensington track on February 2 over 1400m. Over 1350m on Tuesday, Sing A Love Song should get the right run behind the speed from barrier two and finally winning his first race at start 10.

Next BestRace 4 – Sing A Love Song (#7) $2.15 with Neds

Best Value Bet At Wyong – Una Grew Roses

In the second race of the day, Stephen Jones and Rachel King combine with four-year-old mare, Una Grew Roses. The daughter of Swiss Ace is lining up in her first race start on the back of two winning trials at Muswellbrook and Scone . In both of this mare’s trials, she has been dominant, winning by 0.42 lengths and then really putting her rivals to the sword on February 2, winning the trial by almost seven lengths. From barrier four, King is likely to take this grey mare to the front, which will see her ensure it is a genuine clip and really stretch this field out, as a number of Jones’ horses tend to do. She has experienced a rain-affected surface in both trials, so the Heavy 9 shouldn’t be an issue for this galloper either, so we are confident that she can make it a winning debut.

Best ValueRace 2 – Una Grew Roses (#4) $6.50 with Sportsbet
