Armed Forces was luckless on resumption on the Kensington circuit at Randwick on March 13 and should be able to make amends for followers in this 1300m maiden contest. The son of I Am Invincible was held-up with nowhere to go with 250m left to travel, and when finally getting clear galloping room, knuckled down to the task to be beaten by a half-length on the wire. That was over 1100m, and with the immediate step up in trip 1300m a major positive, Armed Forces should be burst downing the centre of the track when the whips are cracking.

Kandinsky Abstract had enormous expectations heading into the spring and simply never fired a shot in Stakes company. The Chris Waller barn elected to send the three-year-old to the paddock on the back of four unplaced efforts, and after 163 days off the scene, the son of Zoustar has returned on the back of two eye-catching barrier trials. Kandinsky Abstract should get every opportunity to make an impression from barrier two, and he needs to show something first-up on Monday, or it may be the ‘never again’ file for this guy.

Green Shadows make his return from a 198-day spell, and although the four-year-old hasn’t won in almost two years, he has each-way claims in this BM78 contest. Joshua Parr takes the reins aboard the gelding by Menari, and provided he can slot in somewhere mid-field with cover throughout the journey, Green Shadows should be right up to this level at his best.
