Sydney metropolitan racing heads to Warwick Farm on Wednesday afternoon for a quickfire six-race program. The rail moves out +3m for the entire circuit, and with the forecast promising some drying conditions, it is expected the track will be upgraded into the Good range. The opening race is scheduled to get underway at 2:20pm AEDT.

King Of Naples returns after 108 days off the scene and will look to continue rising in grade after a terrific campaign. The son of Your Song only missed the frame once across six starts for the John O’Shea barn, including back-to-back wins and two runner-up performances before heading to the paddock. He returns off two strong barrier trials, and with Nash Rawiller boasting a good record on the five-year-old, watch for King Of Naples to be thundering home in the penultimate.

Auspicious Cloud appears set for a peak performance fourth-up after a disappointing hit-out at this course and distance on November 22. The race wasn’t run to suit on that occasion, with Father’s Day taking complete control of the 2400m contest. Barrier three on Wednesday should allow Nash Rawiller to take the initiative on Auspicious Cloud, and if he can lob on the leaders back throughout this BM72 affair, this girl will outstay her rivals through the wire.

After some eye-catching barrier trials, Zaragoza is set to make his debut for the James Cummings barn in Wednesday’s Super Maiden contest. The son of Street Boss cruised through the line in his latest jump-out at Randwick on November 20, finishing mid-field with plenty left in the tank. He needs to overcome an awkward draw in gate nine, but if those trials prove to be as substantial as they were stylish, Zaragoza should prove best in the closing stages.
