Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

Kadarchi draws poorly on Friday but after missing out by less than half a length last time out we think it is more than capable of overcoming that difficulty. In a weakish maiden field Kadarchi has as good a claim as any.

Race 1 tip: Kadarchi to win at William Hill

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

She’s Sharp As will have no trouble finding the front from the wide alley which will be greatly beneficial here. While recent runs haven’t been great it travels to Tamworth as a genuine winning hope in this field..

Race 2 tip: She’s Sharp As to win at Sportsbet

Race 3 – Benchmark 60 (2100m)

Ima Baker has been in sparkling form recently, not missing a quinella placing in four-straight races. The horse won above this rating four starts back at Orange, so the grading will be no issue.

Race 3 tip: Ima Baker to win at Ladbrokes

Race 4 – Class 2 Handicap (1600m)

Last-start winner Rage Against won well at Moree on December 16 and there’s no reason to think it cannot win again. The five-year-old Dylan Thomas gelding is an improving type which should lead and take it out from the front.

Race 4 tip: Rage Against win at William Hill

Race 5 – Class 3 Handicap (1400m)

Great Job is a promising type that could become a city-type runner. In its four previous runs the horse has won three times including a Class 3 win last-start at Taree. Not reason to believe it cannot keep the winning run going.

Race 5 tip: Great Job to win at Ladbrokes

Race 6 – Benchmark 68 (1200m)

Medal Afrique is the only last-start winner in the field, which means it is the in-form runner of race six. The gelding won at benchmark 60 level in that win, which was the second success in three races. A back-to-back win looms here.

Race 6 tip: Medal Afrique to win at Crownbet

Race 7 – Class 1 Handicap (1000m)

Sound Sleuth will look to lead here, and if it can overcome the fellow speedsters it can win from the front. The horse should be rock-hard fit third-up and we believe it has the capabilities to win this race at a distance it has had great success at in the past.

Race 7 tip: Sound Sleuth to win at Neds
