First Race 1pm AEST

The Sale Turf Club is set to host a competitive eight-race meeting on Sunday, September 14. The rail comes out 3m the entire circuit, with the first event set to jump at 1pm AEST.

Best Bet at Sale: Hanuman

Hanuman has been building beautifully this prep and brings the right platform into 1500m with race fitness on his side. He chased strongly second-up at Mornington (1000m) and now gets out to a trip that looks much more suitable for his style. From barrier 7, Thomas Stockdale should land midfield with cover before angling into the clear on the bend, and the 1500m at Sale gives him time to wind up. With a solid tempo expected and a slight edge in late strength over most of these maidens, he gets his chance to put them away.

Best Bet

Race 3 – Hanuman Silks#2 Hanuman (10)

4yo Gelding | T: Jason Warren | J: Thomas Stockdale (59.5kg)

Next Best at Sale: High Praise

High Praise resumes off smart jump-outs and brings a rock-solid 4: 1-2-1 record into a winnable BM62. He maps to blend in just behind the speed despite the wide alley, and Craig Williams is a big tick when you need a soft run before producing late. The Tarzino gelding has the right profile rising to the mile-ish trip (1728m), and Greg Eurell generally has them forward enough fresh. If the track is playing fair by this stage, his tactical versatility should prove decisive in the last 200m.

Next Best

Race 6 – High Praise Silks#3 High Praise (14)

4yo Gelding | T: Greg Eurell | J: Craig Williams (60.5kg)

Next Best Again at Sale: Khadime

Khadime looks the right way home, freshening up into 1211m. She showed nice talent as a three-year-old around stakes grade and her first-up record reads well. From barrier three, Billy Egan can hold a prominent spot on the fence, and if they’re edging off the inside late, she’ll have the option to angle into the better ground. She makes plenty of appeal in a race with a few query runners second-up and Khadime certainly has the class to be winning.

Next Best Again

Race 8 – Khadime Silks#5 Khadime (3)

4yo Mare | T: Dominic Sutton | J: Billy Egan (59.5kg)
