Rockhampton full form & tips for Thursday, January 11
RACING is on at Rockhampton on Thursday as the sunshine state gets into gear ahead of Saturday’s Magic Millions.

Race 1 – Class 6 (1050m)

Shrouded brings in decent form to this race. After taking out a benchmark 65 event at Rocky two starts back the horse subsequently finished fourth in a BM70 race, less than a length behind the winner. Shrouded looks to be the best horse in this field.

Race 2 – Maiden (1300m)

Dirty Rascal resumes here and is a big show to finally break the maiden. In two of its four career starts the horse has finished second, a combined two parts of a length off the winner. This horse is winning sooner rather than later and we believe it will be on Thursday.

Race 3 – Handicap (1300m)

Miss Anna is hunting a fifth-straight win on Thursday and looks well placed to get it. The horse has been progressing with each of those runs and while this is a longer and better class of race than what it has contended most recently, Miss Anaa looms as the best winning hope here.

Race 4 – Class 2 (1050m)

Barachiel has a lot in its favour going into Thursday. It’s won back-to-back races this preparation and it has won third-up at its one previous attempt. Everything looks in great order heading into the fourth event for Barachiel.

Race 5 – Handicap (1050m)

Wicked Express has been in stellar recent form and returns to a trip where it has placed six times from eight attempts. The horse finally broke the maiden tag at the 11th time of asking on December 30 and we think it can go on with the job from there.

Race 6 – Benchmark 65 (1300m)

Thin Disguise has not missed a placing this preparation and looks well placed to continue the decent form. The horse doesn’t get an ideal barrier given it does lack early speed but the quality runs are hard to ignore.

Race 7 – Handicap (1200m)

Crimson Star has won two of its last four races and comes into this race third-up where it has won at previously. The Sidereus filly excels over the shorter distances and is certain to be a major player here.
