For a third-straight week, metropolitan racing in South Australia heads to the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday afternoon for a competitive nine-race program. With the track coming up a Good 4, and the rail out 9m from the 1000m to the winning post and then out 6m the remainder, we anticipate the track will favour those up on speed, especially in sprint races. The action is set to get underway at 12:07pm ACDT.
Best Bet at Morphettville: Rialtor
Our best bet at Morphettville comes up in the opening leg of the quaddie as the Stuart Padman-trained Rialtor looks to add a second straight win at the Parks 1500m. The five-year-old gelding gained an uncontested lead from a low draw under Sheridan Tomlinson on March 11 and gave his rivals no chance when landing the chocolates by three lengths. It looks to be an action replay come Saturday with the pair drawn barrier one and seemingly getting another uncontested lead over the 1550m. Despite rising from a BM62 to a BM68 he drops 1kg following the apprentice’s claim and with a bit of luck Rialtor should have too much of a break with 200m to go and prove too good once again.

Next Best at Morphettville: Fun With Flags
We will be looking to bow out in style on Saturday when last start debut winner Fun With Flags looks to retain her unbeaten record. The three-year-old filly managed to lead throughout at Pakenham on March 3 under a well-rated steer from Craig Newitt and looked like she will only improve with the run under her belt. She draws the pole on Saturday under Zac Spain and considering she should gain an uncontested lead over the 1000m scamper, it is hard to look past her. With a cheap sectional approaching the home turn, there should be plenty under the bonnet for Fun With Flags to kick clear and give Sheldon Cooper fans a winner to end the day.

Best Value at Morphettville: Exalted Dame
We will be looking to strike some value in the penultimate race of the day when the Jon O’Connor-trained Exalted Dame looks to bring up a third win in succession. The four-year-old mare has seemingly had the penny drop this campaign and has been the beneficiary of getting back onto firmer tracks this time in. She has a racing pattern which is hard to knock, considering she jumps cleanly from the barriers and settles herself up on speed. From barrier seven, if Lachie Niendorf can have the Zebedee mare settled outside leader or in the one-one, we anticipate she will prove too hard to get past. She was forced to be wide with no cover up on speed last time and was still too good for her rivals and if she brings that same type of effort on Saturday, Exalted Dame looks the one to be with.
