Leading Victorian jockeys Jamie Kah and Craig Williams have been transported to hospital following a nasty fall in the Group 2 Sires Produce Stakes at Flemington.

At approximately the 900m mark, Jamie Kah’s mount Flyball from the Henry Dwyer barn looked to have clipped heels with the horse in front him, thus causing the two-year-old gelding to fall and in doing so dislodge Jamie Kah in the process.

Unfortunately for Craig Williams and his mount Dubenenko, the pair were on the back of Flyball and subsequently fell in a dramatic edition of the Group 2 1400m event for two-year-olds.

Jamie Kah was reportedly in and out of consciousness on the track and was the first of the two jockey’s to be transported to hospital on Saturday, but was showing signs of improvement.

Williams was reporting of pain to his elbow and shoulder, but will also be transported to hospital.

Both jockey’s had important mounts in the Group 1 Newmarket Handicap later on in the day, with Jamie Kah to be replaced on In Secret by Dean Holland, whilst Harry Coffey will ride Williams’ mount Bella Nipotina.

Following the running of race four, Flemington was in an indefinite delay, awaiting the arrival of an ambulance.

Both Flyball and Dubenenko managed to complete the circuit, with both horses seemingly coming through unscathed.
