Despite winning the Group 1 Robert Sangster Stakes on Saturday at Morphettville, the Phillip Stokes-trained Instant Celebrity is set for a new jockey in The Goodwood in a fortnight.

With Craig Williams committed to riding race favourite Behemoth in the featured sprinting event in South Australia, Stokes and connections have picked up the phone to call on the services of Jamie Kah.

Kah is in career best form at the moment including a massive win in the Doncaster Handicap last month aboard The Cascadian for Godolphin.

Kah will return home to ride on Goodwood Day after serving a suspension whilst riding in Victoria.

It will be the first time Kah hops on the back of Instant Celebrity, and if there is a jockey who is to hop on board for the first time in a Group 1 and gain a result it is Kah.

The leading Victorian metro jockey is set to return to the saddle for this week’s Warrnambool Racing Carnival.

Kah last rode at Morphettville on March 8 for Adelaide Cup day and certainly made an impact upon her return to South Australia. With three wins from her six rides on the day including two black-type.

Instant Celebrity is currently on the second line of betting in all-in markets for The Goodwood with +700 available for the filly to take out consecutive Group 1 races and truly stamp herself as one of the best fillies of the season.
