We’ve got Hong Kong racing under lights on Wednesday night out of Happy Valley Racecourse, where there is a nine-race program for punters to sink their teeth into. We’re racing with the rail in the C position for the meeting, which means we’ll be looking for horses more towards the speed seeing some advantage throughout proceedings. We should be racing on Good to Firm conditions for the meeting, which kicks off at 6:45pm HKT (9:45pm AEDT).
Best Bet: Howdeepisyourlove
Howdeepisyourlove is flying at the moment and we’re happy to be with him again on Wednesday night. His last-start win was dominant at this course and distance on March 1, going clear on the line to win by two lengths. He got the perfect run on that occasion, finding the leader’s back throughout, and maps to get the exact same run here. He gets a 2.5kg penalty for the win, but we don’t think it’ll be enough to change the result. Karis Teetan retains the ride for John Size, and this son of Deep Field should get every chance to make it back-to-back wins for connections.

Next Best: Pachisi
Pachisi would have found plenty of punters’ blackbooks after his two career starts in Hong Kong, and now with Zac Purton on board we’ll be looking for a huge performance. His first two efforts have been over the 1000m at Happy Valley, where he screamed home down the middle of the track in both runs to find the minor money. In his latest run, he would have won again had he enjoyed any luck from the barriers. The extra 200m here should do Pachisi a world of good. He’s drawn awkwardly again, but with Purton taking the reins, we’ll leave it to him to find a nice position throughout running. This guy will be powering home again, but hopefully this time it’ll be to victory.

Next Best Again: Secret Vision
Secret Vision comes to Happy Valley for the first time, and his form this preparation at Sha Tin seems to suggest he’s not far away from a win. He’s got form behind talented types like Voyage Bubble and Sweet Encounter who have been around the mark in the four-year-old series, and now he finds a much easier task moving to the city circuit. If you disregard his latest effort due to the barrier, you’ll find his form is striking in this field, and from barrier two we should see the best version of Secret Vision stepping out. Zac Purton hops aboard for the first time and should produce Secret Vision at the right time to score.
