Capital Legend has been a model of consistency towards the backend of the season, producing a win and two minor placings in his last three starts. The son of Capitalist was no match for Wrote A New Page at this course and distance on June 25 but closed off into second impressively to suggest there could be another win awaiting the well-tried six-year-old. Apprentice hoop Ellis Wong is set to gain an economical run in transit from barrier three, and with the claim taking 2.5kg off his back, Capital Legend must be considered the one to beat.

Jolly Ruler should be suited dropping back to Class 4 company after failing to fire a shot in his last three starts. His last Hong Kong win came in this grade at Happy Valley on April 23, where the son of Helmet surged over the top despite racing wide throughout the 1200m journey. This race has a similar setup on paper, and provided Antoine Hamelin can slot in for cover from gate four, Jolly Ruler should simply prove too classy for this lot.

Best Value at Happy Valley: Enjoy Golf
Enjoy Gold has tested the patience of punters this season, posting seven placings across 10 starts. His latest effort at Sha Tin on June 8 is the only true failure amongst those performances, with the son of Pariah using too much energy to muster from a wide barrier (11). Back to the 1200m should be ideal for the Frankie Lor-trained gelding, and with Hugh Bowman set to gain the gun run from gate four, Enjoy Golf should get every chance to recapture his best, and at a good price with horse racing bookmakers to boot.
