Interstate horses dominate the market, with Bend The Knee and Sword Point both $6 chances with Ladbrokes betting app, while Cape Breton ($10), Character ($11) and Coastwatch ($11) sit on the following lines of betting.
Tony Gollan’s Ashgrove is the shortest-priced local galloper, sitting on $15 after an eye-catching fifth in the Daybreak Lover when first-up.
While southern horses hold the key to the Queensland Guineas, the locals look to be the ones to beat in the sprinting feature on the program, the Victory Stakes.
John O’Shea’s sprinter Quantico ($4) sits on the second line of betting for the Eagle Farm sprint, while Count De Rupee ($5.50) is the third elect after a much-improved second in the Group 3 Hall Mark Stakes last start.

Both Group 2 races in recent years have proven to be strong form races, with the likes of Private Eye, Kukeracha and Vega One using these races to springboard into the Group 1 winner’s circle subsequent to their runs on this day 12 months ago.
