Buster Bash aimed towards Group 1 following Luckygray Stakes win
Whatever happens in the Railway Stakes next Saturday, jockey Paul Harvey believes Buster Bash will leave nothing in the tank as he steps up in class for the Group 1 feature at Ascot.
They were his thoughts after a gutsy victory in the Luckygray Stakes over 1800m on Saturday.
The five-year-old gelding shot out to front and led early – which he loves to do – before creating some separation at the turn.
He tired, but held on with Bad Wolf running second for Ashley Maley.

Daniel Harrison’s gelding will have good outsider odds for the $1 million Railway Stakes over a mile, but Harvey said he would not embarrass himself.
“With a light weight I wouldn’t underestimate him,” he told Sky Racing.
“Whatever he does he’ll leave it on the track because he’s pretty honest and he’ll give it his all.
“Wherever he finishes you’ll know he’s gassed himself.
“He’s a good horse.”
Harrison knows the difficulty of the task ahead, so he was not getting too carried away after Saturday’s triumph.
“Well, who knows really (if he can win with his front-running style). It’s only a dream,” he said.
“There are obviously a lot of other horses who are a lot classier than him, and there are a few with a few lengths on him.
“But if he can get him own way in front in the Railway, a lot of Railways are won by leaders and they haven’t necessarily been the best horses in the race.
“He’s not as good as some of the better ones, but he tries his heart out all the time.”
