The best backed runner is the resuming gelding Awesome Pluck, which runs around in opening event on the card. The three-year-old only just missed out last time out, and after a smart trial where it won comfortably, the punters have come hard.
Awesome Pluck opened at $3 and has gradually worked its way into the $2.15 price at Sportsbet, so punters believe the Jenny Graham-trained runner will start their day off in the right fashion.
