Best Bet: Race 7 #9 Billy Ain’t Silly
Colin Webster will saddle up Billy Ain’t Silly, who will be looking to bounce back from a narrow defeat at Ascot on May 8. The I’m All Talk gelding looked the winner for the majority of the home straight at his last start, but found one better on the winning post to bring his streak of three to an end. It is hard not to like the way Billy Ain’t Silly goes about it, with his smart barrier manners he jumps on the bunny and continually proves hard to run down. Laqdar Ramoly sticks on board and with the 2kg claim, the pair rate highly. Getting back onto firmer ground means he should be getting the job done in the second leg of the Belmont quaddie. Billy Ain’t Silly is paying around the $3 quote with Ladbrokes Australia.

Race 7 – Billy Ain’t Silly (#9)Next Best: Race 4 #13 Tri For Us
The Adam Durrant-trained Tri For Us is yet to finish outside of the top two from four runs to begin her career and we expect that trend to continue at Belmont. The Vital Equine filly strung together consecutive victories prior to her narrow defeat at Ascot on May 12, but we expect her to bounce back into the winners’ stall on Saturday. She was outbobbed on the winning post at Ascot, but coming down 4kg off that effort she looks hard to beat here. Expect Chris Parnham to have her close to the speed throughout, and when asked for an effort at the top of the straight, expect her to be running away with this.

Race 4 – Tri For Us (#13)Best Value: Race 8 #13 Jag The Joker
We were with the Ashley Maley-trained Jag The Joker at Ascot on May 8, but the mare couldn’t quicken when the pace went into the race and had to settle for fourth. She beat home Tiff Has Spoken two runs back, who she meets better at the weights here, and we can almost get double the quote on Jag The Joker. From the wide barrier, Chris Parnham should settle the My Admiration mare close to the speed and have her handy to the speed throughout, and prove hard to hold out.
