The 2021 Australian Oaks has a attracted a strong field of Australian and New Zealand fillies for the $1 million race. Run over 2400m, there looks to be a clear speed influence with Harmony Rose, who will run the favourite, along with Sassysav, who has drawn to be close to the leaders. Vinery Stakes winner Hungry Heart is likely to get back, along with Montefilia, Amarelinha and Duais. HorseBetting.com.au has found three fillies to profile and provides you with a $100 betting strategy.

Opie Bosson hasn’t made a trip to Sydney so far this autumn, which is unusual for the leading New Zealand hoop, but he has done to partner this Savabeel filly. Amarelinha has won five of her seven career starts and finished second on the other two occasions, with one of them coming at the hands of Aegon. She won the New Zealand Oaks at Trentham on March 20 at this distance, so she is proven at the trip unlike the rest of these. Her will to win is worth being noted here, and she has drawn well in barrier seven to be a touch better than midfield and savaging the line. Hard to beat here.

Harmony Rose was desperately unlucky not to win the Vinery Stakes when she tried to lead all of the way on a brutal tempo. The Mark Newnham-trained filly was brilliant in the Randwick Guineas against the boys, and that form has stood up all autumn, so it has to be noted in this. The daughter of Glass Harmonium was only run down late by the fast finishing Hungry Heart who had a nice run in transit. From barrier five, Josh Parr will take her forward again and with less speed influences in this, she should be in it for a long way.

Edward Cummings’ filly Duais has been brilliant winning her last two starts, including the Group 3 Adrian Knox last weekend. The Shamus Award filly got the run of the race from barrier two on that occasion which she is unlikely to get here from barrier 10, but Hugh Bowman has stuck with her and she should find a spot in the second half of the field. She has had three wins and three seconds from her eight starts, so she knows where the post is and comes into this with winning form and plenty of confidence. If Bowman can find cover on her early, she can let down with her lethal sprint from the 300.
