Race 1 – Class 4 (1400m)

Star Rock is seeking a hat-trick and looks well placed to get it. The last-start win at Murwillumbah was terrific and we see no reason why it cannot go on with the job.
Race 1 tip: Star Rock to win ($3.70 at Neds)
Race 2 – Benchmark 75 (900m)

Darktown Strutter is a classy operator that will be winning this race. Forget the last-start at Doomben, this is a serious race horse that has a big career ahead of it.
Race 2 tip: Darktown Strutter to win ($1.34 at Crownbet)
Race 3 – Maiden (900m)

Alleviator debuts here after some great trials. The son of Sidereus will look to continue on from it’s last trial which saw it register a two and three part length victory at Doomben.
Race 3 tip: Alleviator to win ($2.50 at Ladbrokes)
Race 4 – Open Handicap (1800m)

Exoteric is first-up, where it has won at in the past. The Waller runner is making its Queensland debut, and before that it had recorded three-straight placings, including a win at benchmark 743U level. We think it can surprise at odds.
Race 4 tip: Exoteric to win ($7 at Sportsbet)
Race 5 – Maiden (1200m)

Fame Threeandseven is in great form and presents as a strong place hope in a huge field. The last-start second was encouraging and we think it can register another great run. The place price is enticing.
Race 5 tip: Fame Threeandseven to win ($4.40 at William Hill)
Race 6 – Maiden (1200m)

Splitter is in great form when you take away the horrendous last-start 16th at the Gold Coast. The horse had recorded four-straight second placings, three of which were by under half a length. We think it gets the perfect opportunity to breakthrough here.
Race 6 tip: Splitter to win ($2.90 at William Hill)
Race 7 – Class 1 (1100m)

Pride Of Destiny is second-up, where it has won at in the past. The horse failed to finish in the money first up, but was within a length of the winner in that race. Pride Of Destiny is fit, gets a great gate and has the reigning Queensland Jockey of The Year aboard – tick, tick, tick.
Race 7 tip: Pride Of Destiny to win ($5 at Crownbet)
