Tuesday racing tips for Wodonga
An eight-race card is set down for judgement from 1:30pm AEDT on Tuesday afternoon at Wodonga. The track has come up a Soft 7 for the meeting, but a favourable forecast should see an upgrade early on. The last time we raced here on September 15, a potential star emerged in Housay. Could we see another one on Tuesday?
It isn’t very often that one of Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott’s runners is going around in a BM58 at Wodonga, but that’s the case for this 4YO mare who is looking to break a string of minor placings in recent outings. Pierro Rose was a remarkable drifter in the market last time out on the Ballarat synthetic, but she looks set to get the job done here. She will take up the running and should account for a field full of horses in ordinary form.

This 4YO gelding from the Dabernig & Hayes stable was sent around as a drifting favourite a fortnight ago on the Ballarat Synthetic, going down a length on a day when it was no advantage to be on speed. From barrier four, Michael Poy should have no issue in getting his mount to the lead and staying there for the duration. Unchain My Bike looks to have too much on this field and should be able to break his maiden in style.

Ben Brisbourne would have been impressed with the way this 3YO filly broke her maiden last time out at Echuca. She was searching for a run when entering the home straight but proved far too strong in the latter stages when taking over inside the final 200m. She maps to be on the back of the leaders, who are the more favoured runners, and has a turn of foot they don’t seem to possess.
