Wellington races betting preview
It is Wellington Cup Day on Sunday at the country New South Wales track. Along with the Cup, race goers will also be graced by the Wellington Boot for two-year-olds. The track is a Soft 6 and the rail is in the true position for the entire circumference of the course. Horebetting.com.au brings you their best bets for the feature races as well as their best of the day and Quaddie numbers. Race 1 will jump at 1:20pm.
Wellington Cup Best Bet
Six-year-old Drumbeats mare, Miss Redoble, comes into the Wellington Cup as a genuine chance at a great price. The Tracey Bartley-trained mare has won seven of her thirty eight career starts, with four of those coming on wet tracks, including a great win at Canterbury on a Heavy 8 over 1550m four starts back. She ran fifth at the Gold Coast behind Dissolution last start over 1800m and drops back to 1700m which will be more her go. Drawn barrier 11 under Aaron Bullock, she will be able to go forward and settle fifth or sixth on the outside of runners, giving her every chance in the straight.

Wellington Boot Best Bet
John Thompson and Keagan Latham combine with the talented Bourbon Flyer in the 1100m Wellington Boot for two-year-olds. The son of Flying Artie won well on debut at Kensington on a Soft 7, defeating Syracuse and Trifaccia. He then started second favourite in the Group 3 Black Opal at Canberra so will find this easier. Having drawn barrier two, he will have to do no work to be up on the speed, and with set form on his side, he will be in it for a long time.

Best Bet of the Day
Belluci Babe looks a clear standout in the final race of the day in the Wellington Town Plate. The lightly raced four-year-old mare has had just the five starts, for three wins and two minor placings. Her most recent start saw her finished third as a beaten favourite at Randwick on Melbourne Cup Day, when two lengths off Never Talk who has mixed it in Group 1 races this Autumn. The daughter of Per Incanto will be appreciative of the drying Wellington track, and should go well fresh off two trials. From barrier 12 she will be sent forward under Mitchell Bell and should prove too good over the 1100m.
