First Race 2:20pm AEDT

HorseBetting’s New South Wales racing analyst has previewed the seven-race card at Warwick Farm, and brings to you his best bets, value bet and free quaddie numbers. The track is rated a Heavy 8, while the rail is out 5m from the 1000m to the Winning Post and 3m for the remainder of the course. The first of seven is scheduled to jump at 2:20pm AEDT.

Warwick Farm Best Bet – Lepreezy

Annabel Neasham and Kerrin McEvoy combine in the final race of the day with former Central Queensland sprinter, Lepreezy. Although going from Rockhampton to Warwick Farm sounds like a massive step, this five-year-old mare has already held her own at metropolitan level in Sydney, running second to Moonshine Lady on New Years’ Day on the Kensington track over 1100m. The nine-times winner has won three from five on rain-affected going, so we expect her to get through the Heavy going on Wednesday. From barrier 10, McEvoy will take this speedy mare to the front, look to control the race and then show a strong kick at the turn. She can get her first win in New South Wales out of the way in this.

Best BetRace 7 – Lepreezy (#6) $6.00 with Sportsbet

Next Best Bet – Nikau

In the second leg of the quaddie, James Cummings will leg Kerrin McEvoy up aboard last start winner, Nikau. The four-year-old mare by Kermadec proved too strong late on the Beaumont track at Newcastle on Boxing Day, getting up to win by 0.6 lenghts over Tycoon Hallie. The three-times winner has had one start at Warwick Farm for a third back at her fifth race start, when beaten three lengths on a Heavy track. Having drawn barrier two in this Benchmark 72, Nikau should be able to land in the box seat under McEvoy and get an economical run for much of this 1400m event, before being produced in the straight. If the runs come, Nikau can go back-to-back.

Next BestRace 5 – Nikau (#3) $4.60 with Sportsbet

Best Value At Warwick Farm – De Grawin

The third race of the day sees Joseph Pride and Rachel King combine with top weight, De Grawin. This five-year-old daughter of Snitzel made a terrific return to the races on New Years’ Day when second to the race favourite, Dragonstone, going down by just four-tenths of a length. Pride’s mare was a good trial winner heading into that race, here at her home track, Warwick Farm. Although De Grawin is yet to start at the track, she has trialled here and is stabled at the track, so she would work on the course frequently, which will no doubt play into her favour. She does go from a Benchmark 78 back to a Benchmark 72, so she’s been penalised with an extra 5kg on Wednesday with 61.5kg on her back. From gate four, De Grawin can find the front under King and take a power of beating on her favoured Heavy track.

Best ValueRace 3 – De Grawin (#1) $3.20 with Sportsbet
