Race 1 – Maiden Handicap (1000m)

Hiemal only missed out by half a length last time out and presents as an excellent winning chance here. It would only need to improve moderately on that run to beat this field, which is comprised of mostly first starters.
Race 1 tip: Hiemal to win ($3 at Neds)

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

Dinnigan’s time is now. The horse has raced in much stronger races than this one and been highly competitive, and has actually won four-straight trials. It is high-time the horse put it all together on the competitive circuit.

Race 2 tip: Dinnigan to win ($1.45 at William Hill)

Race 3 – Maiden Handicap (1000m)

First-starter Timid looms as good a chance as any in an open maiden event. The horse won its last trial convincingly and the Freedman camp should have the filly ready to go ahead of its debut.

Race 3 tip: Timid to win ($9 at Sportsbet)

Race 4 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

After two-straight second placed finishes, My Zebrinka gets its chance to win. The gelding has been good this preparation and has the ideal gate to be right in the mix here.

Race 4 tip: My Zebrinka to win ($4.60 at Sportsbet)

Race 5 – Benchmark 71 (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182713_05]

Impulsive resumes after a three month break and is good enough to win here. The horse jumps from barrier one, which will favour the Waller runner given its last win was an all-the-way victory. The three-year-old comes into this one on the back of a pair of encouraging trials.

Race 5 tip: Impulsive to win ($5.50 at William Hill)

Race 6 – Benchmark 70 (1600m)

Promising type Weather With You is gearing up to have a big autumn, and it all starts here. This is the horse’s first run in Australia this campaign and looks well suited to break through for a maiden city win.

Race 6 tip: Weather With You to win ($3.50 at Neds)

Race 7 – Benchmark 81 (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182713_07]

Bolero King made a winning resumption on February 16 and presents as a great chance to go back-to-back. The horse has a second-up win in the past, which suggests to us it can improve on that narrow victory.

Race 7 tip: Bolero King to win ($6 at Crownbet)

Race 8 – Benchmark 72 (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1182713_08]

Absolute has been progressing nicely this campaign and will be highly competitive here. The horse has not missed the first-four across a quartet of runs, which has included a win and two placings. The Godolphin runner will require some luck from barrier nine but it is good enough to win.

Race 8 tip: Absolute to win ($3.90 at Ladbrokes)
